The Commercial PC Business is a high-growth, fast paced business with an innovation and customer centered mindset delivering solutions for our enterprise, mid-market, and SMB customers. Within the Commercial PC Business is the Future of Work team – building out new HW designed-for-services, new product solution innovations, and developing future strategies with a collaborative, pan-HP focus and impact.

The AI ISV Business Development manager is responsible for driving new external partnership opportunities with AI application vendors to support growth of the AI PC. This person will also be influencing ISVs for business and technical differentiation with HP, including new GTM business models. New partnerships could be both horizontal persona-based and functional use cases as well as vertical applications. This is a critical role and will be a recognized leader for AI ISVs and use cases both internal and external HP.  Responsibilities include analyzing the ecosystem and market, developing and prioritizing use cases, targeting and building relationships with AI leaders in large companies as well as CEOs in start-up companies, presenting and influencing ISVs to develop on the AI PC, negotiate contracts to solidify differentiation and monetization opportunities to establish leadership position for HP.  In addition, responsibilities include working with internal stakeholders to drive execution of joint plans and program manage external partners’ technical plans for local inferencing and business plans.

You will be presenting to executive leadership both internally and externally, and need to have the drive to define, build, and foster relationships with leaders in the fast-moving AI ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep product and business expertise to influence software developers to deliver differentiated HP customer experiences and technology that enables growth of a brand new category for AI PCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize use cases and ISVs that support transformative workflows based on personas and verticals or functions

  • Work with start up accelerators and Tech ventures team to identify high potential start-ups

  • Identify and build key relationships with AI teams in large and medium ISVs, as well as CEOs at target start-ups with differentiation opportunities.

  • Influence third party software developers on technical considerations and development tools to optimize their local models across silicon providers.

  • Evaluate new GTM and business/partnership models

  • Work closely with partners and internal R&D teams on business and technical differentiation opportunities, determining API and SDK requirements

  • Negotiate contracts

  • Drive requirements for ISV developer program working cross -functionally

  • Directly engage in business development functions and forging strategic partnerships as a “hunter” to gain adoption of new innovative solutions/offerings to partners and/or end user customers leveraging consultative selling methodologies

  • Work jointly with silicon partners on targeting and benchmarking

  • Build business plans and milestones, and program manage to execution

  • Work with ecosystem partners and internal teams on short, medium, and long term differentiation roadmaps for the commercial business

  • Serve as a thought leader, delivering engaging presentations, primers and knowledge sharing to internal and external audiences

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the computer/technology industry, including roles in solutions architecture, software development, consulting, business development/sales engineering, product management, and management

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to continuously innovate and stay ahead of market demands

  • Strong partnering skills, including establishing relationships with new ISVs

  • AI software development expertise and PC hardware knowledge

  • Strong customer and partner communication skills, as well as the ability to influence CxO level and executive AI teams.

  • Exceptional customer centric skills, understanding of use cases

  • Excellent program management and planning and organization skills

  • Strong business acumen leveraging best practices with the ability to map technology capabilities to strategic business drivers

  • Provides subject matter expertise and consults to our ISVs and customers establishing HP as a leader

  • Builds relationships with other distinguished technologies, fellows, solution architects and futurists pan-HP

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to build credibility and distinction with external partners and customers, stakeholders and HP colleagues

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is  123,950.00-179,760.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
