Executive Assistant to the CEO 

Location : Hybrid - 3x per week minimum in our Redwood City office.

Position Overview 

Snorkel is seeking an experienced EA to directly support our CEO and more broadly our entire Exec team through additional team effectiveness responsibilities. This role will be a critical member of our Executive office and will be instrumental in ensuring the Executives at Snorkel are operating in a maximized way. This role will partner directly with the CEO, Alex Ratner, on his calendar and day-to-day priorities, but will also lean in on broader operational support for planning, special projects and meeting management.

The salary range for our preferred location of the Bay Area is $130-$200K.

Key Responsibilities

This role reports into the VP of People, and will focus on:

  • Calendar Management: Proactively manage the CEO's schedule, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and prioritizing appointments.
  • Email and Communication: Screen, prioritize, and manage the CEO's email, ensuring important matters are addressed promptly.
  • Information Management: Research, prepare, and organize information to assist the CEO in making informed decisions.
  • Meeting Coordination: Plan, organize, and lead executive team meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.
  • Information Flow & Internal Comms: Establish efficient communication channels between the CEO and various departments, ensuring information flows smoothly. Lead the content flow for Compass Meetings and for All Hands.
  • Special Projects: Lead and execute special projects assigned by the CEO or executive team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-10 years as an executive assistant to a CEO, preferably in a software or startup environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and act proactively to get answers, context or direction when needed.
  • Proven track record of influencing Executives - both in an EA role and from a project perspective
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools, including G suite
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility.
