The role
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to take on the role of Director of Capacity Network Management. This critical position will oversee the management of our extensive network of third-party vendors, providing resources for software development projects. The Capacity Network comprises designers, developers, and QAs, and is a key asset for our organisation. With a workforce of over a hundred partners supplying 3000 resources, our network plays a pivotal role in meeting the growing demand for experts as our business expands globally.
As the Director of Capacity Network Management, you will be responsible for setting and executing the sourcing strategy for our network. Your expertise in managing vendor relationships at scale, combined with a corporate background, will be essential to ensure the success of this mission. You will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the network, including issue management, invoicing, and compliance.
Requirements
- Experienced in vendor management or relationship management, preferably at a director level within a FTSE 100 or Fortune 500 company or consulting firm.
- Demonstrable success in sourcing and managing vendor relationships at scale, with a focus on the software development industry.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and rate cards, delivering favourable outcomes for the organisation.
- Strong understanding of the North American and LATAM markets, with experience operating in these regions.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing diverse teams and driving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- In-depth knowledge of contracting and compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in managing a global team and willingness to travel as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy to target and establish partnerships with software development businesses, focusing on React JS, React Native, Ruby on Rails, Design using Sketch/Figma, and Manual QA experts.
- Utilise your extensive network and understanding of the industry to identify and onboard potential Capacity Network Partners, negotiating contracts and rate cards to ensure favourable terms for our organisation.
- Effectively manage day-to-day risks within the Capacity Network, collaborating with regional managers to ensure consistent and efficient operations across the global network.
- Take ownership of escalations and major incidents, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders and driving timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with AI, Delivery, and Product teams to align sourcing efforts with the increasing demand for experts, supporting the successful delivery of customer projects.
- Drive the development of the Capacity Network brand and community, fostering a sense of belonging and pride among our experts.
