We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Principal Consultant with a deep expertise in Data Governance to join our team. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, thought leadership, and hands-on expertise in developing and implementing robust data governance frameworks for our clients
Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data challenges, and develop comprehensive data governance strategies aligned with their specific needs.
Provide thought leadership in establishing data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks that ensure the effective management, privacy, and security of data assets.
Lead the Data Governance capability along with the team to build PoVs, Accelerators and support Sales in pitching Data Governance to respective clients
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team to inform and drive data strategy and business decisions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data management, reporting, and analytics.
Oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with existing data management practices and systems.
Lead data governance initiatives, including data classification, data quality management, data lineage, data access controls, and data lifecycle management.
Advise clients on compliance requirements, and ensure data governance practices are aligned with local and global data regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, business analysts, and legal experts, to foster a culture of data governance awareness and adoption.
Engage with key stakeholders to promote the value of data governance and its impact on business outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
Knowledge of Data Governance tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, BigID, OneTrust
Technical knowledge and experience in Alation is highly needed
In-depth experience of data governance /information management practices, systems and processes including data governance, data modelling, master data management, meta-data management, data quality management
Proven track record of successfully implementing data governance frameworks for large[1]scale organizations.
Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and analytics technologies and their relationship with data governance.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with C-suite executives and stakeholders.
Certifications in data governance or related fields (e.g., CDMP, DCAM, CIPP) will be a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Executive Presence and Communication with SVPs, VPs daily
Strategic relationships with clients, Forecasting quarterly, Managing daily risks, Front-facing challenges and solve with a smile
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $180,000 - $210,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.
