Job description

We are looking for full-time SQL Database Administrator that will act and support all our global hosted platforms.

SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for working closely with the Development team, in order to implement new solutions and improve the existing ones, that are related to SQL servers and services of applications and will be the final escalation point for operations team.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will have the opportunity to bring your expertise and make the difference in this area by proposing new solutions and improvements that will drive to a better platform performance, efficiency, and stability.

What you do:

  • Support the development of new solutions, services and the implementation in the SQL area;
  • Maintain the standard configurations of SQL databases servers, services, and processes to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security, in accordance with products requirements for operations;
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure standardization such that performance and integration support efforts meet expectations;
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes;
  • Perform SQL server installation, configuration and troubleshoot
  • Perform regular SQL server monitoring maintaining a proactive approach.
  • Ensuring the security, integrity overall health of databases (booth On premise and Azure)
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree, or similar experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or relevant field;
  • 2+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required or similar experience with managing SQL Server databases;
  • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models;
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory;
  • Experience with managed cloud database (Azure SQL)
  • Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality;
  • Pro-active, stress resistant, service minded;
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently;
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams in an international environment;
  • Good written and verbal English skills.

Nice to have:

  • MCSA, MCSE certifications;
  • Experience with process automation;
  • Experience with SQL licensing;
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools ;
  • T-SQL knowledge and query tuning;
