The credit and Verification Manager determines prospects’ worthiness, analyzes and evaluates financial data and prospects ‘potentials, performs a risk assessment and makes informed decisions as regards extending service to customers. The candidate will possess solid analytical skills in the financial statement, and probing skills and be proficient at preparing and presenting approval memos.

This position will demonstrate the ability to lead and train others.

What You’ll Do (Job Description):

• Assess the creditworthiness of prospects
• Ensuring all approved prospects comply with credit policy and guidelines
• Evaluating prospect's credit data and financial statements in order to determine the degree of risk involved in approving them
• Ability to analyze cash flows, leverage, collateral and customer strength
• Create innovative credit evaluation processes and systems
• Draft models of credit information that predict trends and patterns
• Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives
• Leadership: effectively lead, manage and develop the credit teams.

Requirements

What You’ll Need (Skills Requirement):

• 3-5+ years of proven credit experience 
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional analytical skills, detailed documentation, and sound judgment
• Expert-level understanding of loan policy and reporting needs
• Solid understanding of lending procedures.
• Must be able to perform independently, be self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as credit reports, mortgage statements, bank and credit statements, court documents, and the customer service manual.
