Job Overview

As a Consulting Associate in the Risk, Investigations & Analytics (RIA) practice, the work will include in-depth background investigations on individuals and entities using U.S. and international public record materials, as well as conducting source inquiries to gather additional intelligence.  Results will be compiled into detailed written reports for a variety of clients, including law firms, financial institutions and corporations. The types of matters within the practice range from fraud and corruption investigations, asset tracing, monitorships, damages assessments and other litigation support matters.

Candidates should have experience using a number of investigative databases (e.g. WestLaw, LexisNexis, Factiva, PACER, Sayari, Accurint, TLO, etc.) as well as extensive experience analyzing a range of public records (e.g. civil and criminal proceedings, SEC filings, property records, bankruptcies, tax liens, news media, social media, corporate filings, regulatory filings and sanctions, etc.).

In addition, candidates must have excellent writing skills and be prepared to work in a deadline-oriented, team-based work environment. .

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates to support our growing investigations offerings.  Ideal candidates should possess: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a consulting organization or investigative firm;
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage multiple workstreams, be attentive to detail, and meet timely deadlines;
  • Proven experience identifying adverse issues, evaluating sources, and determining the completeness and accuracy of public records.

Work Location Flexibility

The city of New York requires CRA to include a good-faith estimate of the wage range for this role. This range is specific to individuals applying to work in our New York office and considers a number of factors including but not limited to experience, education level, and expertise. A good-faith estimate of the base wage range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000; actual total compensation may also include benefits and bonus.
