Job Overview:

As a Compliance Monitoring Lead, you will be a key player in ensuring strict adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing compliance monitoring programs, conducting audits, and managing self-assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fintech regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Compliance Assessments Plans:

  • Assist in designing assessment plans to evaluate the effectiveness of controls within internal departments.
  • Conduct regular compliance assessments to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to perform audits, identifying potential compliance gaps and recommending corrective actions.
  • Perform compliance assessments on existing/new products and services.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of compliance assessment activities and results.
  • Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies, highlighting compliance status and areas needing improvement.

Training & Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for all staff to enhance awareness on compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within Compliance Monitoring to enhance compliance effectiveness.
  • Drive initiatives to streamline assessment processes while maintaining compliance standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as technology, risk management, and legal, to ensure a holistic approach to compliance.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address organization-wide compliance challenges.


Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement monitoring programs to assess compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Create and maintain a schedule for regular compliance monitoring activities.
  • Perform regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing compliance controls and processes.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and work with relevant stakeholders to develop corrective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance monitoring activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for management and regulatory bodies, highlighting areas of compliance and areas needing improvement.
  • Develop and execute testing procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls and identify potential weaknesses.
  • Keep abreast of changes in fintech regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance to the organization on adapting to new compliance standards and technologies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are aware of and understand compliance requirements.
  • Foster a culture of compliance awareness within the organization, emphasizing the unique challenges and opportunities in the fintech sector.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance.
  • Ensure the organization's policies and practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address compliance concerns.
  • Design, update, and maintain policies and procedures and communicate with all departments.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Experience in audit or compliance. 
  • Strong knowledge of fintech regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience in designing and implementing compliance testing strategies.
  • Ability to lead and manage self-assessment initiatives.
