Civil AI Vice President

Key Role:

Set and lead the strategic vision and technical direction of AI/ML initiatives to address our Nation’s most pressing challenges in the federal healthcare sector. Lead Artificial Intelligence client engagement and technical solutioning in partnership with our Health Account leaders guiding our commitment at the intersection of Health and technology, innovation, and AI. Develop and oversee AI-driven strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient outcomes as part of the Firm’s AI Health capabilities, leveraging expertise in the strategic integration of AI into healthcare settings. Act as a change agent, promoting an "AI-First" culture across the health account while championing the integration of AI applications into critical healthcare functions, both clinical and operational. Manage strategic investments in AI innovation tailored to healthcare operations while exploring emerging technologies at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and operations, such as predictive maintenance for medical equipment and AI-enhanced patient experiences.  Oversee the implementation of AI governance in healthcare settings, ensuring responsible and ethical use of AI technologies by staying up to date on healthcare regulations related to AI and drive compliance across all healthcare operations. Shape the company’s AI and healthcare talent strategy, focusing on attracting, training, and retaining top AI talent specialized in healthcare applications, building a highly skilled technical team capable of addressing complex mission-critical AI challenges from strategy to execution across health mission areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • 10+ years of experience with designing, developing, or integrating analytics or AI technologies for Health applications, including clinical or operational, from early strategy to production deployment and adoption
  • Experience with and a record of growing health AI businesses
  • Experience with identifying, developing, and mentoring staff at all levels and capable of building high functioning teams to deliver exceptional quality and innovative analytics services
  • Experience with developing and implementing successful market strategy and business development and leading proposal, project, and intellectual capital creation
  • Experience with project management to include strong client relationship management and building skills
  • Experience in AI, Python programming and one of the following Deep Learning frameworks, PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, Keras, and big data technologies like Hive, PySpark, Synapse, and Databricks
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with operating in a complex, cross-functional organization where teams must collaborate and integrate with other multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in creating effective frameworks to aid the discussion of complicated technical topics
  • Experience in making strategic impact at an executive level to include collaborating with leaders on difficult issues and applying sound judgment and analysis toward important business decisions
  • Experience acting in a proactive and passionate fashion relating to organizational health topics including inclusion and diversity, growth and development of ICs and people leaders, and functional excellence
  • Ability to display a reputation as a trusted thought leader at the intersection of AI and health care or the life sciences
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills including being articulate with both technical and non-technical business partners
  • Master’s degree preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $190,000 - $360,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
