As part of the Client Computing Group (CCG), the NPU IP Team have been at the forefront of designing and delivering solutions for exciting new machine vision and artificial intelligence markets. Within the group, the NPU IP Software team are responsible for delivering Software and Firmware supporting these silicon program developments and are involved in these exciting and challenging projects right from concept, through architecture into design, and finally debug and release of new silicon products.

We are seeking a motivated Technical Program Manager to drive software execution for one or more programs for CCG's VPU product lines. You will be responsible for organizing activities to ensure on-time delivery of key software deliverables throughout the program lifecycle on time and within scope and budget. This is a visible role that interfaces across business units and involves directly working with architects, development engineers, validation engineers and management to drive results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Engineering teams, to plan and execute projects, ensuring that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver projects effectively.
  • Work with internal and external teams to establish realistic estimates and timelines, while supporting continuous monitoring and mentoring to help ensure that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
  • Defining and delivering indicators on progress to management and senior leadership.
  • Ensure that programs align with the appropriate Intel policies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners defining the Product Vision and roadmaps.
  • Coordinate release and sprint planning with Scrum Master and Product Owners.
  • Work with the project team identifying and planning key Program milestones.
  • Monitor Project health providing weekly updates on key Program milestones.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and guide team members on optimum project planning and execution.

  • Needs to work without reminders to manage program status.
  • Willing to operate in ambiguous environments and have the ability to provide the team with clarity and direction.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong advocate for inclusion and the power of diverse perspectives in achieving value for Intel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • At least eight years of industry experience in software or hardware engineering.
  • 5+ years of program management experience.
  • Ability to ramp quickly on new technologies in the AI / ML space.
  • Needs knowledge of SW delivery best practices: SW integration / CI, release planning / release activities (monitoring defects, managing features, tracking validation/legal/security).


Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Two or more years in an engineering lead or architect role.
  • Familiarity with AI / Machine Learning.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
