About This Opportunity

H2O.ai is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled AI Technical Account Manager to join our team in Sydney. You will be pivotal in driving AI/GenAI projects across various business units within our customers. You can seamlessly transition between hands-on technical work and client-facing activities. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of H2O.ai's AI offerings and contributing to our growth trajectory.

You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in AI Delivery, with a proven track record of successfully delivering AI projects to clients in recent years. Your experience in banking or finance is a significant advantage.

As AI Technical Account Manager you excel in communication, possess strong technical skills, and demonstrate exceptional project management and organizational abilities. In collaboration with clients, you will oversee the entire customer journey from onboarding to growth. You will not only lead interactions with clients but also coordinate with various teams within H2O.ai, including customer data scientists, Kaggle Grandmasters, engineering, support, and subject matter experts, to overcome challenges and expedite clients' progress to ensure renewal and expansion.

Your primary aim is to assist the client in implementing our AI products and realizing business benefits from their investment in H2O.ai. Your effectiveness will be assessed based on metrics such as product adoption, client usage, retention, and expansion.

What You Will Do

  • Technical and Data Science Understanding: Provide guidance to customers - business and technical teams around best practices, knowledge sharing, building models, healthy data pipelines, production environments, model deployments, etc
  • Project Management: Manage data science projects from start to finish, ensuring successful execution and adoption. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, analyze feedback, and ensure resolution of challenges.
  • Business Acumen: Act as the technical and data science representative of H2O.ai in front of the customer and their stakeholders. Collaborate with customer stakeholders to develop partnerships and promote H2O.ai solutions.
  • Customer Mindset: Monitor customer satisfaction and progress through regular communication and metric analysis. Handle escalations and ambiguous situations by taking tailored corrective actions and leveraging internal networks. Represent H2O.ai to senior customer stakeholders, gather feedback, and ensure the resolution of challenges.
  • Evangelist: Lead pre-sales efforts for impactful projects, emphasizing the business value. Establish governance and project management plans to drive successful project delivery. Ensure adherence to key performance indicators and provide strategic direction. Promote H2O.ai products within customer organizations and encourage expanded usage.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the development of the company's overall strategy.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to drive product improvements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Current with industry trends and advancements in data science to provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to customers.
  • Mentor and coaching junior members of the team to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional development.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to showcase H2O.ai's expertise and solutions.

What We Are Looking For

  • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of industry experience with technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project management is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly in structured and ad-hoc environments.
  • Dependable, proactive, and capable of managing workload independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conversational knowledge of Data Science concepts, including the ability to articulate practical applications and business benefits of AI.
  • Understanding of program management principles.
  • Proficiency in productivity and project management tools.
  • Data-driven mindset with a commitment to process enhancement.
  • Experience in AI, analytics, or technical domains is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of machine learning techniques, statistical and data mining techniques including auto machine learning, supervised and unsupervised modeling, model interpretability, and natural language processing.
  • Interest and understanding of Generative AI and large language models, LLM, and how these can be applied to achieve business value is advantageous.
  • Understanding of production and post-production model monitoring concepts and tools like H2O MLOps and MLFlow, etc
