An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate to be part of a team, within a fast-growing Artificial Intelligence company for an AI Support Specialist Team Lead. In this critical role, you'll be the frontline champion for our clients' buildings. You'll lead and empower a team of AI HVAC Support Specialists and Agents to ensure our systems run smoothly and deliver exceptional customer service.  You'll also be the bridge between internal teams and external clients, troubleshooting issues while keeping everyone informed.

 


What you will do

  • Be the architect of intelligent building efficiency: Lead your team to proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize building systems for maximum efficiency. Leverage your expertise in HVAC controls to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions that leverage the power of AI
  • Empower Your Team: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to HVAC specialists and AI agents, fostering their development and maximizing their performance through regular performance reviews with valuable feedback.
  • Drive Optimal Performance: oversee adherence to established HVAC maintenance procedures and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize system performance and customer satisfaction. Strategically assign tasks to support agents based on workload and skillsets for maximum team effectiveness.
  • Champion customer satisfaction: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external clients, resolving HVAC control system issues efficiently and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Be the data detective: Track and analyze HVAC system incidents, adherence, and quality reports to identify trends and implement innovative solutions for complex issues. Maintain accurate records for future reference.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Develop a deep understanding of all HVAC control systems and operations, recommending and implementing improved procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Regularly update management on progress and identify potential challenges proactively.
  • Innovate and solve problems: Develop creative solutions to complex HVAC challenges.

 

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's or Technical degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience as a controls technician, with a focus on HVAC systems, building controls, building operations, and building automation systems.
  • Proven leader with 2 years of experience managing and motivating teams of technicians.
  • Passionate sustainability advocate with a technical mind.
  • Strong communicator with fluency in English and French (written and verbal).
  • Data expert with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with BACnet Building Automation communication protocol is essential, with knowledge of additional protocols like LonWorks and Modbus an asset.
  • Experience with Atlassian or other ITSM platforms for incident, problem, event, and knowledge base management is a bonus.
  • Automation enthusiast with proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux (an asset).
