Information Technology (IT) acts as an internal function the developing, running, and maintaining of the IT systems and platforms Nokia is running on. Develops and maintains applications to meet the business needs of the organisation. Covers the performance and monitoring of day-to-day database and system activities as well as the provision of remote support to users regarding hardware and software problems.

Subfamily Description

IT Advancement & Design (ITA) comprises further development of information technologies and IT platforms for business solutions and services. Covers driving of proactive needs analysis ensuring that business needs, demands and challenges are well understood, and that business execution plans and capabilities are delivered on time and within budget. Contains management of demands and priorities while assuring alignment with the corporate strategy and budget. Comprises optimisation, harmonisation, and implementation of Nokia's IT environment and systems by providing area specific knowledge. Covers representation of the whole IT organisation to global or regional business stakeholders and user communities. Works closely with the different service providers that are part of the IT eco-system, governs their performance, and acts as main interface between IT and the business including incident escalations. Comprises identification of opportunities for process and concept development as well as improvements. Covers planning and managing of the development, testing, and implementation of process / concept improvements and system changes at own responsibility area. Contains translation of requirements into system terminology and functionality as well as the delivery of process and system end-user training.

 

As part of our team, you will: 

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product managers, data scientists, and designers to build AI-powered applications that meet business needs and customer requirements.
• Build software projects where natural language processing (NLP) is a key component. Responsible for building linguistic models, prompt engineering for large language models (LLM) and designing user interfaces that facilitate natural language input and output.
• Building server-side applications/ backend code using C#, Python
• Understanding of GenAI oorchestrators like Semantic Kernel, Langchain, Llamaindex
• Expected to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply these advancements to improve the AI applications.
• Proven development experience on on-premise and understanding of cloud platforms like Azure, Google Cloud, AWS Cloud
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Pytorch, Conda, Python programming (pandas, flask and similar + DS packages), Huggingface libraries (transformers, TGI etc.)
• Knowledge of distributed training and inferencing frameworks
• Managing the end-to-end life cycle for software and applications
• Hands on experience of API integrations, Single-Sign-on and token-based authentication
• Experience in managing databases, and proficient in querying existing databases for technical and data analysis
• Maintain documentation pertaining to software design and build
• Manage production support issues
• Apply agile and lean principles in design and implementation

You have: 

• Solution architecture exprience with Classical AI/ML and GenAI solutions using on cloud or on-prem setups.
• Handson experience in GenAI technology areas including prompt engineering, in-context learning, RAG architecture, fine tuning techniques, inferencing frameworks etc.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience
• Preferably Certified Cloud Developer (either Microsoft, IBM Cloud, AWS, Google)
• Ability to quickly prototype ideas / solutions, perform critical analysis, and use creative approaches for solving complex problems
• Work with an Agile mindset to create value across projects of multiple scopes and scale
• Excellent communication skill – oral, written, presenting, creation of report outs etc.
• Solution seeker, diligent with detail orientation
• Positive approach

It would be nice if you also had: 

• 1-2+ years of experience in participating in data and analytics initiatives in a corporate environment or a growing, data-driven startup
• Understanding of advanced analytics, including data management, different types of machine learning approaches and machine learning pipelines
• Good understanding of fine-tuning large language models
• Master’s degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science or related disciplines
