We are looking for a skilled and experienced AI Architect to develop our AI architecture vision, create AI solution architectures and help our engineers tackle technical challenges whilst effectively guiding and consulting our business decision-makers.

You will join a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work in a mixed team of in-house experts and suppliers together with cross-functional teams to create AI solutions that support Nokia Technologies to grow its business. This a new position is in Nokia Technologies’ Patenting Solutions team.

As part of the team, you will:

  • Create solution proposals and architecture specifications for AI solutions
  • Develop and maintain the target AI architecture and AI solution creation process 
  • Influence annual plans and roadmaps to ensure right technical enablers are in place on time
  • Analyze technical trade-offs, conduct cost-benefit analyses for different solution options, prepare recommendations and decision-making materials
  • Ensure technical quality, maintainability, and scalability of AI solutions
  • Participate in AI solutions market screening and technical evaluation 
  • Act as a knowledge sharer, consult non-technical business stakeholders and provide technical leadership to engineering teams
  • Collaborate with colleagues across business groups and within Nokia Technologies

The best combination of experiences, skills and background for the role:

  • Substantial experience in developing cloud-based architectures for AI platforms and AI solutions. We use Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Azure Elastic, Azure Kubernetes, OpenAI Services, open-source ML models, Data Lakes, Data warehouses, relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience in agile software development and methodologies (e.g. Scrum, DevOps)
  • Expertise in addressing Security, Privacy and AI Compliance requirements and ensuring quality and maintainability of AI systems
  • You have a passion for learning new skills and coaching others
  • You are a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively at different levels of abstraction and the ability to communicate with both business decision-makers and engineers alike
  • You are a team player with the ability and drive to produce quality deliverables in multiple simultaneous workstreams 
  • Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science or Technology or other relevant field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

It would be nice if you also have:

  • Prior experience in developing AI solutions as an AI/Data Scientist or Engineer.
  • Familiarity with patenting, licensing and/or legal processes
  • Ability to perform descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, and experience with applying methods such as predictive analytics, time series, hypothesis testing, classification, clustering and regression analysis
