The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel delivers the Infrastructure Processing Unit (IPU) which is shaping data center designs for the next decade. Join the Network and Edge Group (NEX) to plan, develop and sell infrastructure acceleration solutions using Infrastructure Processing Units (IPU) in the Cloud, Telco and Enterprise market segments.
In this position, you will lead the AI Accelerator Software architecture. You will be part of OCTO group that is responsible for delivering leadership Edge product and system architecture. The candidate would have deep understanding of the existing competitive market in AI and would engage on entire end to end solution including security, networking, telemetry and scalability and how mapping this to our system and product requirements. The candidate will have responsibilities from the early phases of architecture development to drive critical decisions in hardware architecture, then leading the software architecture requirements and definition for deployment of AI acceleration as well as technical engagements with customers and industry on needs and trends.
This is an opportunity to actively collaborate with customers, segments, software/solution teams to drive the AI solution in the next gen edge products.
Your responsibilities will include but limited to:
- Ability to work with key industry AI experts internally and externally to listen, understand, distill, and identify future trends in AI into actional technology proposal(s).
- Understand competitive strengths and gaps in existing and planned AI products to architect the next generation edge software architecture.
- Lead the AI Accelerator Software Architecture and collaborate to define the leadership AI roadmap.
- The AI Acceleration Software Architect should possess the following attributes:
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to guide, influence, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to synthesize and create clear key messages backed by data.
- Proven capacity to thrive and continuously learn in a dynamic, innovative setting, showcasing a growth mindset, quick adaptability, and a strong commitment to efficient execution.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and cross-group collaboration skills.
- A team player willing to jump in where needed as an active contributor.
Qualifications:
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
- Candidate must possess a BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and 6+ years of experience OR MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 4+ yrs. experience in:
- 4+ years’ experience with System level AI skills spanning AI software, algorithms, software stack/tools, libraries, frameworks.
- 4+ years of experience developing and delivering AI Software products or solutions.
- 1+ years of experience developing and delivering AI Hardware products or solutions.
- Ability to map customer requirements to HW, SW or hybrid based on market requirements.
- Knowledge of latest technology trends, algorithms and usages of AI especially as it relates to deployments at the edge.
How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications):
- BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar and 10+ years of experience OR MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar and 8+ yrs. Experience.
- Experience working in and navigating a large corporation.
- Experience leading a technical team in a highly matrixed environment.
- Experience working with and influencing business leaders.
- In-depth knowledge of network and edge market, including software and hardware AI technology trends.
- Ability to map customer requirements to HW, SW or hybrid based on market requirements.
- Knowledge of latest technology trends, algorithms and usages of AI especially as it relates to deployments at the edge.
